Liturgical
Sacristans - Assist with set-up, clean-up and other preparations for Mass
Lectors - Proclaim the scriptures and Prayers of the Faithful darning Mass
Eucharistic Ministers - Share the Body and Blood of Christ with your fellow parishioners
Ushers - Welcome people coming to Mass, help take up collections and distribute Bulletins to people leaving after Mass.
Choir - Add to the beauty of our prayer by singing with the current choir
Children's Choir - Enrich the beauty of our worship and sing with other children
Greeters - Provide a warm welcome to those coming to Mass by smiling at them, giving them a missalette and welcoming them
Liturgy Committee - Plan dl liturgical activities with a group of fellow parishioners and the priests of the parish
Altar Servers -Assist the prayer of the church at Masses including weddings and funerals
Musicians - Assist our choir and Music Director by playing an instrument
Formational/Educational
Womenshare- Listen to speakers and discuss topics of Mind, Body and Spirit for women
Duex Life-(Meaning 2 in French) Activities for those between 40-65
Young Adults-Spiritual, Social and Service Activities for those between the ages of 20-40
Seniors-Regular activities for those who wish to connect with fellow seniors
Ministers of Care-bring communion to those who cannot come to church
CCD Catechists-Teach grammar school children about ourn faith (Saturday OR Sunday mornings for one and one half hour)
Childrens Liturgy of the Word Catechists-Teach children between the ages of 4 and 9at Mass once a month
RCIA-Rite for the Christian Initiation of Adults-Assist the priests and other teachers with the formation of adults interested in becoming Catholic
Girl Scouts/Cadets-Assist existing scout masters
PTT-Parents Teachers Together {collaborate to help St. Matthias Transfiguration School grow
Alumni Association- All Alumni of St. Matthias or Transfiguration Schools are welcome to reach out to fellow alums
SPRED-(Special Religious Education for Developmentally
Disabled) assist other Catechists in sharing life
and faith with some of our parishioners who have special needs
Evangelization
Evangelization Committee - Work with Marketing and Hospitality groups to reach out to neighbors, friends and newcomers and welcome them to join our parish
Friends of the Grape Committee - Assist
with planning, promoting and coordinating our annual Wine
Festival on the 1st Sunday of October
Social Justice/ Service
Reach Out - Assist the hungry and homeless who come to our door and others in need in our community (In the rectory M, W, F, 8:30-l l:30) and/or at other times
Pro Life - various activities to heighten awareness of the gift of Life
Devotional
Confraternity of Our Lady Of Penafrancia - Regular prayer and social activities in honor of Mary as she appears in the image of Our Lady of Penafrancia enshrined in our church and very dear to those from the Bikol region of the Philippines.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Perpetual Novena every Wednesday 6:45 Pm and 8:00 AM First Friday Novena- Each first Friday 7 PM
Legion of Mary-various devotions to Mary including 8:30 AM Sunday

Baptismal Preparation-Assist priest with prep sessions for Parents at l0:30 AM in Rectory, 3rd Sunday of the Month
Marriage Preparation-review pre-scored results of FOCUSS test (A relationship inventory test) with engaged couples
Wedding Ministry-Assist couples in celebrating their wedding Mass/Ceremony and priests & sacristans setting up and cleaning up for marriage Mass/Ceremonies
Art & Environment-assist Liturgy committee with decorating the Church for various Church seasonal decorations
Gardening & Grounds-Help to beautify the grounds mound the Church School & Rectory
Marketing/Communications/Sign Committee - Work with Evangelization Committee to promote parish activities. Assist with setting up various parish signs in front of church and school
Hospitality Committee-Welcome new parishioners with various gatherings
Youth Group-Spiritual, Service and Social Activities for teens
Cub Scouts - Assist with starting a troop
Volunteer Office help-Answer phones and door at the Rectory or school, also help with mailings
Bereavement Group-Send cards to family members of deceased
Popular Music Spirituality-A monthly discussion about the contemporary spirituality of Popular music
Movie Discussion Group- A monthly discussion about the contemporary spirituality of various movies
Scripture/Bible Study or Discussion - Regular gathering to reflect on God's Word
New/Young Mom’s/Parents Group-Gather to share resources, wisdom and support
Church Cleaning - Assist with keeping our
beautiful Church clean
