We will meet in front of St. Matthias Church at 12:30 p.m.
2310 W. Ainslie

The tour will focus on Chicago's great architects and their influence, the city's turbulent history, its powerful and inventive citizens and the Cemetery's natural beauty

We plan to car-pool to the Cemetery so please drop me a line and tell me if you would be willing to drive. Free parking is available on the roadways throughout Graceland, and after the tour we will convene at a place to be determined for refreshments.

“For the Least of My Brothers & Sisters”
Weekend Retreat
Friday, May 1 – Sunday, May 3, 2009

Adults in their 20s and 30s are invited to a ‘peace and justice’ weekend retreat hosted by Charis Ministries at the Cenacle Retreat & Conference Center. Together with Fr. John Haughey, SJ, we will use our faith to look critically at our actions and attitudes towards our planet, justice for those who suffer and help for those in need.

Join others in their 20s & 30s who are interested in service, whether it’s their full-time job or weekend passion. Hear young adults speak about their commitment to justice, talk in small groups, take time for personal prayer, and celebrate Mass and Reconciliation together.

The Albany Park Neighborhood Council

invites you to the5th Congressional District Candidates' Forum
Monday, February 23rd from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

All 26 candidates were invited to the Forum. If you are interested to hear what all candidates have to say about issues affecting our communities, like immigration, health care, housing and education this Forum will be a great opportunity to do so. For the Special Primary Election you can still register to vote until February 10th during so called "grace period" by going to the Chicago Board of Election Office – 69 W. Washington St, Suite 600. Adults in their 20s and 30s are invited to a Lenten Day of Reflection on Saturday, February 28, 200, hosted by Charis Ministries and the Catholic Theological Union. Guest speaker Fr. Joseph A. Brown, SJ will kick-start our Lenten journey together as we look at how to let the light of Christ into our lives, and then pass it on to others. Musicians Adia Dobbins and Scott Patterson will bring their nationally known musical talents to the event. Spend a day gathering with God and others in their 20s and 30s, and take the time to really hear God’s voice and see His grace.

St. Patrick’s Day Party

St. Cornelius Parish will be hosting their 51st annual St. Pat's Party on Saturday, March 7th. The party will feature dinner catered by Harrington's and open bar. The entertainment menu includes Chicago favorite, The Chancy Brothers, the Shannon Rovers, and Irish Dancers. Our current special is $400 to reserve a table of 10, or individual seats are $45.
